This policy explains what the Bawan Gold mobile app does with your information. It applies to the app only.
The short version
We don’t ask you to create an account, we don’t track you, and we don’t sell your data. The only thing we collect is a notification token so we can send you price updates.
What we collect
Notification token. If you allow notifications, your device generates a token that lets us send you messages. We use Firebase Cloud Messaging, a Google service, to deliver them. The token identifies your device, not you. If you turn notifications off, we stop using it.
Basic technical data. As with any app or website, our servers record standard request information such as IP address and time of request when the app fetches prices. We use this to keep the service running and secure.
What stays on your phone
Your language, currency and text size preferences are saved on your device only. We never receive them.
What we don’t do
We don’t ask for your name, email, phone number or payment details.
We don’t collect your location. The store map shows fixed branch pins and never asks where you are.
We don’t use analytics or advertising tools.
We don’t track you across other apps or websites.
We don’t sell or rent your information to anyone.
Third parties
Google Firebase delivers our push notifications. Map images load from a third-party map tile service. These providers may receive your IP address as a normal part of serving the request.
How long we keep things
We keep notification tokens only while they’re active. Server logs are kept briefly and then deleted.
Your choices
You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings. Deleting the app removes all locally saved preferences. To ask what information we hold or to request deletion, email info@bawangold.com.
Children
The app is not aimed at children and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
